13 Things About Me

1. I have been a Christian since the age of nine.
2. I love chocolate and eat it every day.
3. I wish I could make a living just selling my paintings. But I can't, so I am a graphic designer.
4. I love blue, and I love things that are blue like the sky, the ocean, blue eyes, etc.
5. The way I laugh changes depending on who I am around. I naturally tend to laugh like the people I hang out with.
6. I love working in my vegetable garden. My plants are like my pets. Sometimes I talk to them, even though I know they can't hear me. At least, I think so...
7. I played the clarinet for 7 years, and I was really good at it. I was "first chair" most of the time, and gave lessons. Then I stopped playing and now I don't know if I can anymore.
8. I used to speak Spanish. But I stopped using it, so I forgot how.
9. I love making visually attractive things with my hands. Drawing, painting, decorating food, decorating my house, anything that is visually creative.
10. I'm mostly a self-taught artist. I've taken a few art classes, but mostly I just learn through practice and experimenting. And youtube videos.
11. I come from a broken family. That is why I determined in my heart that I would not make the same mistake my parents did. I've been married 7 years to the love of my life and we have the happiest marriage of anyone I know. God gets the credit for that!
12. I love Jesus as much as I can and as best as I know how. The goal of my life is to make Him smile.
13. When I paint I prefer to paint on 1/4" birch wood panels. I can't stand painting on canvas.


My Answers:

1. Are you a Christian? (It's okay if you'd rather not answer)
Yes! My relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in my life.

2. What kind of video games do you like, if any?
I don't play video games. Sometimes I watch my husband play Halo, does that count?

3. Favorite kind of music?
Dubstep and Chillstep. I used to love listening to Christian music, but I'm bored with most of it because I think it lacks creativity and skill. I listen to Dubstep and Chillstep because I like the beat but there aren't usually lyrics. I can't stand songs with trashy lyrics. I love listening to Dubstep when I'm designing.

4. Fantasy or reality?
I prefer reality.

5. Do you like cats? ^(|)w(|)^
Yes, but I don't want to own one. I enjoy other people's cats.

6. How often do you spend time online?
Several hours every day. I spend my lunch break online, and part of my design job requires me to be online.

7. Do you consider yourself a leader or a supporter?
Supporter. I can be a leader if I have to. But I prefer to support others.

8. Do you have plans for 4th of July?
Already passed! Sorry I did this so late! I can see fireworks from my house, so my husband and I just sat in the front yard and watched fireworks. I think we might have grilled some steak for dinner that night. Just a quite evening at home with the man I love. 

9. Do you like manga and/or anime?
I enjoy looking at the art on DeviantArt. I don't watch any shows though.

10. What books would you suggest?
The Bible. lol! I could suggest lots of books depending on what you are interested in. One of my favorite books of all time is "Phantastes a Faerie Romance" by George MacDonald. It's a total fantasy book, but it parallels the Christian life and is a captivating read. Great things to ponder.

11. Would you be okay with the world ending soon?
Yes and no. I want to be with Jesus. But I want more people to be saved and be with Jesus too.

12. Favorite food(s)?
Chocolate. Ribeye steak. Raw vegetables. I love Asian food, especially Thai. And sushi! That is a special treat we eat once a month. Yum!
