This is a new project I'm working on for a sermon series on the life of David, focusing mostly on the books of 1 and 2 Samuel in the Bible. David the shepherd, the musician, the warrior, the lover, and king. Though he made great mistakes, he was known as the man after God's own heart. I wish I could be known for that.
I wanted to keep it really simple this time. This project is not finished yet, I want to make the typography more interesting without loosing simplicity. This image is going to be used on TV screens, so I'm thinking that the pinstripe lines might not be such a good idea.
You can find tutorials online to help you learn to use Photoshop. I don't know about Photoshop Elements or how it works with text, but it is mostly used for photos I think.
If you don't mind spending some money, you can purchase stock photos and artwork at places like shutterstock.com and istockphoto.com. There are lots more sites, just do a google search for stock photography or stock images. Sometimes you can find sites that offer free stock images but usually the quality isn't as good. I make alot of my own graphics, but for a beginner like you it might be easier to purchase graphics that are already made. This isn't really a skill that is easy to learn over night, it took me several years.
This is everything I'm looking for in a man. :3 When people ask me why I don't consider dating, it's extremely awkward to turn them down, but I'm still waiting for that one guy who loves God as much as I do. <333
That is great! I totally understand where you are coming from. I went through the exact same thing. Believe me, it is worth it!!! God brought me my husband when I wasn't expecting it, and our marriage is amazing. Both of us were trusting God instead of looking for a spouse (although we did keep our eyes open). We had high standards and didn't compromise. God really blessed it. I hope the same happens for you too.
David's life is one of the most inspirational things we can find in the Bible, I still dream of drawing him facing Goliat or the last of the giants This is very cool btw
