Camel sunset on Sandstone by Emberblue Camel sunset on Sandstone by Emberblue
Another piece of sandstone. This time I used water color to highlight the pattern in the stone that looked like a sunset. Then I used ink to draw in the little camel guys. :)

I've never ridden a camel, though it looks like fun. I've seen camels, but never rode one. You?

Awesome. The colors seemed to have blended the sandstone grain together a bit for a smoother sky. Great effect, and nice "camel guys" as well :)

Thanks man. :) When I get my hands on some more sandstone I'm going to do some more drawings. I'm having fun with it.

Are you trying any non-traditional media yet? Not that you need to, your work is rad just as it is. :)

Your welcome and no, i haven't but i'll have to think of something sometime. Closest thing was the water colors. I would do a wash then come back and cover it with my pen art. I would find patterns in the wash and work off them in ink. I want to take some pictures of them digitaly then post.
