Kiriban Award

The white dove is commonly known today as a symbol of peace and purity, but it was also used several times in the Bible. It was the bird Noah sent out of the ark that returned with an olive branch (Genesis 8:6-12), Jonah's name in the original Hebrew means 'dove', Jews who could not afford to provide a lamb for sacrifice could instead use two doves (Leviticus 1:14; 14:30; Luke 2:24), and the Holy Spirit Himself descended from heaven during Jesus' baptism in the form of a dove (Matthew 3:16).
Fun fact: doves don't have gallbladders.

Check out an amazing book I've literally read 3 times now - "The Great Hope", found online for free here:…

:iconpoppycorn99: made this for me because I won her Kiriban. Thank you so much!!!

Here is a really cool new way to ask for prayer and to pray for others!  This website offers a graph updated live where you can see the prayer requests and how many people have prayed for each request.  You can ask for prayer with your name or anonymously (we like to call it "Theononymous", :D)  And if you choose to sign up, the list of prayers will be sent to you each Thursday.  The people that created this site call themselves "Theonauts".  The "Theo" is for theology...and I think the "nauts" refers to astronauts or something, lol!  Anyways, they have a hilarious and informative weekly podcast that talks about hot button topics with Christianity and news around the globe.  Now that you have a little background about the makes of this prayer website, lets get into the prayer details!

From their own
David and Jeremiah are big proponents for Christians to be honest, open, and transparent with their sins to each other.  The New Testament calls us to confess our faults to each other and to pray for one another.  This is easier said than done.  Our reputations, egos, and pride get in the way.  Christians end up hiding their sins from each other to look better.  The thing is… we all sin.  The difference between Christians and non-Christians is that the Christian’s sins are covered by the blood of Jesus.  We are ashamed of our sin because we want to be like him.  But we are still subject to that pesky “law of the flesh” Paul talks about in Romans 7 and that tends to keep dragging us down.  We need each other in this fight.  When we hide our sins we rob ourselves of resources God has provided us.

And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up – and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.   So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.
(James 5:15-16 NET_FL)

So since we have this new media at our disposal, why not use it to help bring Christians together in confession, prayer, and fasting?  This is not an end all solution, but a means to help start us back on a path of prayer and confession.  So here is how it works:

Submit Prayer Requests:  This site allows you to submit a prayer request.  You can provide your name and email in the request.  You can also choose to not have those exposed by remaining completely anonymous.  It’s your choice.  This way if your confession is too personal you can have people praying for you without their actual knowledge of who you are.  If you’re in between wanting to be completely anonymous and fully disclosed, we’d suggest using just a first name or even creating a name.  We’ll just call that being theononymous.  :)  You will receive an email from us with a link that will let you manage your request, mark it answered, reply with a praise report, or delete the request.  You may also choose an option that will send subsequent emails to you to let you know when people pray for you.

View Prayer Requests:  All submitted prayer requests will then show up in a list on the Current Prayer Requests page.  From here you can pray for others who have made these requests.  If you pray for some one, please click on the button that says “I prayed for you”.  This will alert the requestor that someone is praying for them.  If the prayer request seems bogus or the product of some troll, you can also click on the “Report Abuse” button.  If a request receives 3 reports of abuse it is removed.

Sign up as a Theothursday Prayer Warrior:  If this really hits your heart like it has ours, you can sign up as a Theothursdays Prayer Warrior.  This means, if you want to be notified when people need prayers we will send you a prayer newsletter each Thursday with the weeks prayer requests. NOTE: This is unrelated to the info posted on the Submit a Prayer Request page. You can be a subscriber to the newsletter and still be completely anonymous when submitting prayer requests.  Our suggestion is to couple your prayers with a fast.  So from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Thursdays you dedicate yourself to a “normal” fast (abstaining from all foods but drinking water) and prayer for your brothers and sisters mentioned in the Theothursday newsletter.  Then we suggest visiting the site to click on those “I prayed for you” buttons to encourage the requestors.

Tell People:  Tell your friends to use this tool.  The more confessions and the more prayers the better this will work.  Or better yet, just confess to your friends and pray with them right there on the spot!  Ok, not ready for that one yet?  Then never mind, just start them out with Theononymous.  :)

So there you have it!  If you would like to pray for others, or if you want more people praying for you, feel free to participate in this website. You can be totally anonymous if you want to.  The more prayer the better, right?  Thank you Prayer Warriors for praying!!!  :pray::pray:

A Letter From the People of the Cross

Vision: We want to tell the world of the great and mighty things of the Lord through media

As the world responds to the Islamic State with hatred and vengeance, there is one group that is responding differently. They are not allies with ISIS but their enemies. And they have been slain by the thousands in the hands of ISIS. ISIS calls them The Nation of the Cross - The ones they have killed are bringing a message of forgiveness and hope. Declaring a love that they do not know - A love that reconciles even the worst of us and can make enemies into brothers.

We worked with several Arab Christians and Middle East Refugees to get their feedback. Also had it translated by an Arab Christian from Egypt.

Hey, if you get this, I have finally realized who I am. I'm just a human, not a dragonkin. But I shouldn't worry about who I choose to be when it is something I must discover for myself.

It'll take a hard time for me to accept that, but I will never stop loving dragons the way I do before, and I have a heart of One (I don't mean Spirit, if you were wondering).

Perhaps it would be much comfortable if someone gave me a nickname "Dragon". After all, back at my school, teachers tend to call me dragonman or dragon since I always draw dragons ^^;

I hope you're happy, Emberblue. I've been talking to :icontylerthdragon: and trying to convince him he didn't need to change as much. But now he's upset and probably HATES me! How could you DO this to us? Why?

I'm sorry for my harsh words. I'm in a terrible dilemma and I'm really upset, but that didn't give me the right to take it out on you...
